The Land of the Rising Sun

It was a long, tiring trip for me from Davao to Japan. It took me almost forever because I stayed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport for 12 hours waiting for my flight to Narita international airport. It took 4 hours travel from Manila to Narita, Tokyo.  It was around 6am when we arrived at Tokyo. I was not able to sleep during the flight, even though I’m so tired because I was really excited to see Japan. It’s my dream since I was a kid. I am really fascinated with anime and Ultra Man hahaha.

I got so lucky coz I seated near the window and I saw the whole Japan. It was really amazing. The moment I stepped out from the plane I feel the cold and and its killing me. Its really cold and I was only wearing a t-shirt and a not so thick jacket.It feels like I was inside a large Freezer. hahaha (im from the sunny Philippines)

 

Finally we are here!

I stayed in Ashikaga shi, Tochigi. Its a small town 2 hours away form Tokyo. Amazing small city its so clean. On my first day here. I was shocked because its like a ghost town. I dont see any people walking around the streets. All I can see are cars. I think they are all busy or its just too cold to walk around. hehe

I’m so hungry and can’t wait to taste their famous RAMEN. It never failed to amaze me. The food was so great 2 thumbs up!

On my 2nd day we decided to go to Kodomo no kuni (Children’s Country) It’s a theme park good for families who wants to have some pick nick and its for free. There is a Big slide on the top of the hill, but too bad its not working because they usually open it during weekend, but its ok, we enjoy the place especially the kids.

Around 4 pm we decided to leave the park to visit the famous tourist attraction in Ashikaga the Illuminating flower park.

The place was so amazing due to its lights and landscapes. but I think the best season to visit the place is during spring because when we got there most of the flowers are dead because its winter. I was really expecting something more, like what I saw on the picture. Overall the place is majestic. Entrance fee is ¥800.

I’m on my 3rd day. We decided to visit another park the Kezoji Theme park for the kids to enjoy. The park is located in Isesaki, Gunma, it’s like 2 hours away from my place. There is no entrance fee you will just have to buy tickets if you want to experience their rides. Here you will see some roller coaster, Ferris wheel, and some rides for kids to enjoy and for the oldies as well. hehehe. I tried the roller coaster and damn!　I don’t want to do it again. Ever.! I’m really scared with rides Its like I can’t breathe. So I decided to sit and watch them playing and took some pictures.

My 4th day in japan is a rest day.. Yhaayy.! I need some rest. So I stayed and sleep all day long and of course DOTA!

Dota is life.

 It’s Friday and lets go! We woke up early around 6am because the place we are going to visit is 2-3 hours away from my place.

 

Finally, we are here the Nasu Highland park. The moment we arrived, I was amazed with the monkey walking around the streets. They are so cute. The wind is freezing like my ears are starting to numb.

The park is so Big and there are a lot of rides to choose from but I decided not to ride any of it because I’m really scared with rides hahaha.. I’m happy to see them enjoying the rides. hahaha

It’s getting so cold outside and snow is starting to fall, so we decided to stay inside the food house and seated near the heater. The park is open till 4pm only so we pack our things up and leave around 3:30 pm. It was tiring yet fun. My experience here in Japan is worth remembering.

Japan is an amazing and beautiful place to visit. The food is really great and all are delicious. I want to stay here for long, but I only have 15 days. There are still lots of places I want to see and things I want to experience. I wish I can extend my stay here for a couple of months. 🙂
